Bare Islands, La Perouse
Bare Islands has significance in Australian history for many reasons but more than anything I think it attracts Sydney siders because of their curiosity to the island. It's located in Botany Bay just off the coast of an area in South East Sydney called La Perouse, named after the french explorer. I came across La Perouse, originally, when I was exploring the coast line south of Bondi and Bronte looking for interesting seascape formations to take photographs of. This is Bare Islands shot during a sunset in late Autumn with long exposure techniques to highlight the movement of the clouds and smooth the ocean surface.
